The residents will not have to travel long distances to get specialised services,Neither will they be compelled to pay through the mouth to receive healthcare. Right now might seem like a pipe dream but it definitely isn’t... the dry spell has wiped out the usual green covering of grass now only the Aberdares in the background provide any sort of scenery. Karanja irungu magutas blog   Beloved Nyandarua ranges burn The burning Nyandarua ranges l ast week was not a good one for Nyandarua as the ranges famously known as Aberdare were on fire casting a smoky shadow over the county side. It is believed that the residents or more appropriately the ranges neighbors usually light this fire annually during the dry spell to insure that the rains come. Ironically it has contributed to scarcity of rain as the forest is never allowed to grow the ranges are a the source of several rivers notably River Malewa which gives a lifeline to Nyandarua residents and those of Nakuru. Its therefore a sad story viewing the mountain burn f ire on Aberdare ranges I did not seem to notice any one attempting to put off the fire despite a few calls by local leaders for the national government to assist.
